Doc and his family have traveled to Africa to do socio-humanitarian work for the next few years. They have gone prepared with tools and parts to make a limited amount of custom orders.

A variety of available Doc's Banjos can be seen, played and purchased at Troubadour Music Center in Corvallis, Oregon. The proprietor W. Kent Buys will be available to assist you with selection and shipping if necessary.

We have developed an international non-profit non-governmental organization with a branch office in East Cameroon. Geo Aid International does  socio-humanitarian work with the pygmie Baka and Nzime tribes. Our programs include health, education, socio-economics and agriculture. Over the next year we will build a compound to house our home, guest cottages and a woodshop, as well as set up a kiln and a training center for woodworking and other activities. Our long-term goal is to start a furniture school, and as mentioned, continue our Doc's Banjos by custom orders.

As a non-profit agency, we are interested in a variety of donations, including volunteers. We will soon be looking for a volunteer who understands how to work with the portable Lucas Sawmill and the Logosol planer. This person must have good woodworking skills and a strong desire to help the poor.
